ENGINEERING AND MACHINING

Our modern workshop is equipped for engine and driveline building in house. The CPE fabrication and machine shop recreates parts that no longer exist, using historically sympathetic processes and decades of experience and expertise.

FERGUSON DRIVETRAIN CONSERVATION

"There's probably only two or three people still alive who know how this all works"

The Ferguson P99 is the only four-wheel drive car to win a Formula One race, which it did with Stirling Moss at Oulton Park in 1961. The one-off remains fantastically original and we have been its caretakers for over a decade, but there are no remaining engineering drawings of its unique drivetrain.

We embarked on a project to not only rebuild the drivetrain to keep it on track and safely racing for all to see, but to also scan every part and create drawings in order to preserve this magnificent piece of British engineering for generations to come.
