Founded in 1997 by Martin Greaves, Classic Performance Engineering has built a well-established and enviable reputation with our clients, suppliers and event organisers for quality, integrity and ability. Our extensive experience allows us to restore, prepare or service your car to the highest standards, in turn allowing you to maximize the pleasure you gain from your historic car or collection.
With our roots firmly established in engineering, we are proud to be able to work on almost any make and model of vintage or historic car to the highest standards.
MARTIN GREAVES - DIRECTOR
With a lifelong passion for motor sport and having studied engineering at Imperial College London, Martin’s career has perhaps unsurprisingly been based entirely in the motoring engineering sector.
His professional career started at pre-war Aston Martin specialists Ecurie Bertelli, where he worked on legendary cars including the Ulster team cars of Nick Mason. In 1987 he moved to Pearson Engineering where he gained valuable experience in race preparation of a wide variety of historic cars, including overseeing the preparation of the highly successful long-nose D-Type Jaguar raced by “Fearless” Frank Sytner.
In 1997 Martin established Classic Performance Engineering with the ethos of good old-fashioned service combined with engineering prowess to extract the best results for his clients cars at competitive events.
WORKSHOP TEAM
Working from a large facility on the outskirts of Silverstone village, Martin oversees an in-house workshop team, and consults with renowned external specialists where required.
